The next crowning to BEAUTIES OF 5 CONTINENTS™ 2016 will take place on September 4, 2016 in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia at the Orpheum Theatre. Canadian contestants become ardent fundraisers as soon as they are accepted into the pageant; that is, six months before they appear on stage at our annual Grand Crowning Gala. On that magical night, we do much more than simply select a winner to be the ambassador to the world. We join with businesses, members of the national community, and special guests from all around the globe to celebrate the essence of giving by thanking all of our contestants for the time they have spent doing humanitarian work. Picture them scattered across the country, marching, come rain or snow, determined to bring hope and much-needed funds to children in need. What a powerful example for the youthful audiences about how to donate their time and energy to good causes! Together, under our renowned banner, we can showcase young women’s inner beauty as displayed through charitable acts and dedication to unite the world. Our pageant prides itself on its philanthropic focus, and is part of an international movement with a firm commitment to change the lives of those in need across the globe. Every year, our organization donates $55,000 to $75,000 to Variety – The Children’s Charity, sharing the goal of improving the quality of life of one of our nation’s most vulnerable groups: underprivileged children with special needs We reward our contestants for their selflessness by enrolling each one in our enhanced Development Program as they prepare for pageant week and simultaneously canvass their respective communities for donations for the benefit of our charity of choice. The Program, which we are able to extend to our dedicated young delegates through the generosity of our sponsors, teaches a set of life-building skills, aiming to produce smart, savvy young women as this generation’s new, Canadian entrants into the international corporate world.
